The Book of Mormon, the 2011 Tony Awards’ Best Musical, opens the exciting 2015-2016 season of Texas Performing Arts’ Broadway in Austin. This smash Broadway hit has a limited engagement at the Bass Concert Hall on December 8 to 13, 2015.
In this outrageously satirical musical from the multi-awarded creators of the hit TV sitcom South Park, a pair of young Mormon missionaries is sent to evangelize in a village Uganda. As they introduce Mormonism to the locals who are gripped by a local war lord’s reign of terror, Elder Pierce and Elder Cunningham find themselves trying to surmount the cultural differences and the other difficulties before them.
The performances of The Book of Mormon at the Bass Concert Hall during weekdays are at 8 PM every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The weekend shows are at 2 PM and 8 PM on Saturdays and at 1 PM and 7 PM on Sundays. The performance running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes with 1 intermission.
