Audra McDonald Goes Coast to Coast on Upcoming Concert Tour

Audra McDonald is set to kick off 2014 with a brief concert tour. She will make stops in California, Massachusetts, Georgia and Florida over the next few months. This comes right on the heels of her appearance in NBC’s hit production of The Sound of Music Live! last month.

In the month of January, McDonald will perform at Stanford’s Bing Concert Hall (January 17) and at Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center (January 18). Her performance at the Bing Concert Hall is a part of the venue’s inaugural season. The performance at the Green Music Center will mark her debut at the venue and is being celebrated with an LGBT mixer entitled “A Night OUT at Weill Hall.”

The month of February will be marked by a performance at the Hanover Theater in Worcester, MA (February 22) and a rescheduled appearance at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, FL (February 26). On February 28, McDonald will return to California for a special benefit concert at Visalia’s L.J. Williams Theater to support Hands in the Community, a local charity that provides crisis and short term referral services for families, children, and low-income individuals.

McDonald will round off the concert tour with a stop in Atlanta, GA to perform at the Atlanta Symphony Hall with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

The concert in each of these cities will feature the Grammy Award winning singer performing songs from her recent solo album entitled Go Back Home, in addition to other personal favorites.
