‘Anything Goes’ Broadway Run Extended Through April

‘Anything Goes’ Broadway Run Extended Through April

“Anything Goes” is fairing quite well on Broadway. Well enough, in fact, for it to receive yet another extension of shows into Spring, 2012. The latest revival of the famous Cole Porter show received three Tony Awards, including “Best Musical Revival.” Noteworthy songs from the production include “You’re the Top,” “I Get A Kick Out of You,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow,” and “Anything Goes.”

“Anything Goes” revolves around the comedic interactions of an eclectic group of passengers who find themselves crossing the Atlantic together. This most recent revival features Tony Award-winning actress Sutton Foster as well as stage and screen veteran and Tony Award-winner Joel Grey. Grey recently concluded a brief, 12-week stint as director of “The Normal Heart.” The celebrated actor has made numerous appearances in Broadway production as well as on television programs such as “Alias” and “House.”

If all goes according to plan, “Anything Goes” will continue its performances at the Stephen Sondheim Theater until April 29, 2012. With a celebrated collection of tunes and acclaimed cast, there’s no reason this production shouldn’t continue to be a roaring success.
