Holiday fever will start to spread early this year in Hartford with the week-long run of A Christmas Story at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts’ Mortensen Hall. Opening on November 12, 2013, A Christmas Story runs in Hartford until November 17, 2013 as part of the 2013-2014 Bushnell Broadway Series.
Based on the hit 1983 film with the same name, A Christmas Story is the popular Broadway musical set in the 1940s in Indiana that tells the delightful tale of Ralphie, a boy with a big imagination. Getting a Red Ryder BB gun is his idea of the perfect Christmas, so he goes on a quest to make sure that it ends up nicely wrapped under his Christmas tree.
Experience pure holiday entertainment as A Christmas Story plays Mortensen Hall from November 12 to 17 (Tuesday to Sunday). A Christmas Story runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes, inclusive of one 15-minute intermission.
