Second National Tour of ‘Jersey Boys’ Hits December 6

‘Jersey Boys’ casts a new batch stars to step in the shoes of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons for its second US tour set to launch in Philadelphia on December 6. Joining the forthcoming jaunt are Brad Weinstock, Colby Foytik, Brandon Andrus and Jason Kappus as Frankie Valli, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi and Bob Gaudio, respectively.

Weinstock and Foytik have both appeared in the Las Vegas production of the musical. New Jersey native Weinstock has also played Boq in the US tour of ‘Wicked’, while Foytik was last seen in the Broadway production of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, alongside Topol and Harvey Fierstein. Andrus on the other hand recently concluded his turn as Curly in the US tour of ‘Oklahoma!’ and has also worked in the Broadway mounting of ‘Xanadu’. Kappus’ other credits include ‘American Idiot’ in Broadway and ‘Legally Blonde’ on national tour.

‘Jersey Boys’ is the story of the life and times of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, told through their greatest hits such as ‘Walk Like a Man’, ‘Sherry’, ‘Working My Way Back to You’, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, ‘Rag Doll’ and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’. Their songs – a product of their raw talent, musical innovativeness, humble and rough beginnings, and growing maturity – enveloped the emotions and fanaticism of fans craving for relatable and hummable pop music, sounds which greatly symbolized ‘60s pop culture. It also chronicles the drama that went down between these four young Jersey men – lessons learned from the rugged streets of the Garden State, risks taken, family and financial disasters and internal clashes – that shaped not only their musical signature, but their legacy in and out of the industry as well.
