Mike Tyson’s ‘Undisputed Truth’ Cancels Phoenix, Houston, Kansas City Shows
The national tour of “Undisputed Truth,” Mike Tyson’s one man show directed by Spike Lee, just kicked off recently, but now shows in select cities have been cancelled.
First citing scheduled conflicts, the show’s publicist confirmed to Culture Map Dallas that certain cities on the tour have been cancelled because they were not selling well. These cities include Grand Prairie, Texas; Houston; Phoenix; Cincinnati; Louisville and Kansas City.
Here’s a statement from Tyson:
Due to circumstances beyond my control, certain cities on my Undisputed Truth tour have been cancelled. I am so appreciative of my fans and all of my supporters. I sincerely apologize to anyone that was inconvenienced by these cancellations. I was looking forward to doing a great show for you and hope at a later date that I am still able to do so.

As of now, however, the tour’s schedule still has 19 more dates on Tyson’s itinerary before the tour wraps up in Westbury, New York This includes the current three-night stand for the show at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco.
The show’s official website describes the show as “a rare, personal look inside the life and mind of one of the most feared men ever to wear the heavyweight crown. Directed by Academy Award nominee Spike Lee, this riveting one-man show goes beyond the headlines, behind the scenes and between the lines to deliver a must-see theatrical knockout.”
The tour kicked off on February 13 in Indianapolis and was originally set to visit 36 cities.
“After a successful run at the MGM in Las Vegas and on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre with Spike Lee, I’m excited to take ‘Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth’ on tour and share it with my fans across the country,” said Tyson at the time. “‘Undisputed Truth’ is my story—I’m giving my all.”
