Book of Mormon Cleveland | State Theatre

Book of Mormon Cleveland | State Theatre

‘The Book of Mormon’ comes to Cleveland in summer 2015 for five days of conversion, satire and laughter at the State Theatre from August 25 to August 30, 2015.

Its Broadway premiere was met with not just rave, but overwhelmingly great reviews. This musical parody about two somewhat naïve Mormon boys in Uganda for a mission is hailed by The New York Times as “the best musical of this century”, with Emmy winner Jon Stewart of The Daily Show adding that ‘The Book of Mormon’ is “a crowning achievement. So good, it makes me angry”. A burst of uncontainable laughter and entertainment is expected as this musical is brought on stage by the masters of fearless, animated television satire – Matt Stone and Trey Parker of ‘South Park’ – with the musical genius of Robert Lopez, who earned a Tony for his work in ‘Avenue Q’. ‘The Book of Mormon’ swept the 2011 Tony Awards with 9 honors, including Best Musical, and that alone is more than enough reason to see “the funniest musical of all time,” as Vogue puts it.

The performance running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes with 1 intermission.
