Ticket Lottery Details for Book of Mormon Los Angeles, Wicked Las Vegas

Upcoming tour productions of “The Book of Mormon” and “Wicked” will feature a lottery ticket drawing for $25 tickets.

The national tour of “The Book of Mormon” is headed for the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood on September 5, and lottery entries will be accepted at the box office two-and-a-half hours before show time, with the drawing taking place two hours before the curtain lifts. The lottery will take place prior to every show (the performances will run through November 25) except the September 12 production, which is the official opening.

The theater did not specify exactly how many tickets would be offered through the lottery system, though it did say that only a “limited” amount would be released. Winners must be present at the box office to win the tickets. The Broadway production also offers a lottery drawing for tickets each day, though these cost $32 a piece. Winners must present a valid photo ID to receive their tickets.

Similarly, the upcoming Las Vegas stop of the national tour for “Wicked” also will offer a lottery system. The production will begin its run at The Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall on August 29 and is scheduled to run through October 7.

Tickets for this lottery also cost $25 a piece, and the guidelines for winning are exactly the same as those of “The Book of Mormon” lottery in Las Vegas. The seats for this lottery will be orchestra seats, which typically run between $93 and $197 depending on the location of the seat and the day of the performance. Regular priced seats for the production start at $39.

“The Book of Mormon” currently is playing in Denver, where tickets for the first stop of the national tour sold out within hours of going on sale. The production will stay there through September 2.
