An unforgettably heart-wrenching tale comes alive on Aurora stage this spring! West Side Story, the legendary and captivating Broadway musical, is part of the stellar lineup of shows for the 2015-2016 Paramount Broadway Season. Opening on March 16, 2016, West Side Story takes over the Paramount Theatre stage until April 24, 2016.
Widely considered as one of the greatest love stories of all time, West Side Story tells the captivating tale of Tony and Maria. West Side Story is set in New York’s Upper West Side area where racial tension escalate with the turf war of two rival gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, over boundaries. At the heart of the turmoil, the love story of Tony and Maria unfolds after they meet in a local dance. But Bernardo, Shark’s leader, is Maria’s brother while Tony , albeit trying to distance from the violence, is considered as one of the leaders of the Jets. Conceptualized by Jerome Robbins, West side Story features book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Berstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
Let West Side Story take your breath away as it plays the Paramount Theatre every Wednesday at 1:30 PM and 7 PM, every Thursday at 7 PM, every Friday at 8 PM, every Saturday at 3 PM and 8 PM, and every Sunday at 1 PM ad 5:30 PM. The performance time of West Side Story is 160 minutes.
