Gallopping into Milwaukee’s Marcus Center is the critically acclaimed War Horse, featuring the awe-inspiring puppets created by the Handspring Puppet Company that has left audiences on both sides of the Atlantic raving.
Albert raised and trained Joey from a foal until his father sold him to the cavalry to be shipped off to the battlefields in France. Longing to be reunited with his beloved friend, he lies about his age and enlists in the army and does everything he can to locate Joey. This powerful tale of friendship and hope is the inspiring play based upon the book my Michael Morpurngo.
Catch War Horse at the Marcus Center in Milwaukee from January 7 through 12, 2014 and see why this production has won 5 Tony Awards including a special award for the creatures created by the Handspring PUppet Company. Performances of War Horse at at 7:30pm on Tuesday through Thursday, at 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 6:30pm on Sunday. Afternoon shows begin at 2:00pm on Saturday and at 1:00pm on Sunday.
