Sister Act Sacramento | Community Center Theater
Singing nuns and gangsters will take center stage in Sacramento this April! Sister Act, the ridiculously fun musical version of the hit 1992 film that starred Whoopi Goldberg, will be at the Community Center Theater on April 8 to 13, 2014 as part of the 2013/2014 Broadway Sacramento Season.
After accidentally witnessing a murder, nightclub diva Deloris Van Cartier finds herself in the police’s protective custody and lands in a convent as a fake nun to go under the criminals’ radar. With her musical ability, she helps the congregation’s cheerless choir and helps revitalize the church in the process. However, her involvement in the choir attracts the attention of the gangsters who are looking high and low for her.
Rejoice and spread the love as Sister Act plays nightly at the Community Center Theater on April 8 to 12 (Tuesday to Saturday). The matinee shows are on April 5, 7, and 8 (Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday).
