Sister Act Boston | Boston Opera House
Welcome 2013 with good and joyful vibrations as ‘Sister Act’, the hit musical adaptation of 2011 brings its act from Broadway to Boston via the Boston Opera House for a two-week run from January 22 to February 3, 2013.
When high-rolling nightclub diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, the police shield her in the most unlikely of places – a convent. Unexpectedly, Deloris finds her true calling through the peace and quiescence afforded by the convent. And while her previous flashy and glamorous life has no place in her new one as a nun in disguise, she still makes use of it by pumping life, color and inspiration to every chorale performance, reminding every churchgoer and faithful of what it truly means to worship and rejoice. As for Deloris, her sister act reminded her of what it truly felt to be a part of something, to have dependable friends, and to have people counting on her and willingly ready to cover for her no matter what.
