Newsies Cincinnati | Procter & Gamble Hall

Newsies Cincinnati | Procter & Gamble Hall

The brave New York newsboys are all set to spend the first weeks of spring in Cincinnati! Newsies, the acclaimed and rousing new musical that won the Tony Awards in 2012 for Best Choreography and Best Score, joins the exciting 2015-2016 season of Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati. Opening on March 1, 2016, Newsies will electrify the Procter & Gamble Hall at the Aronoff Center for the Arts with heart pounding numbers until March 13, 2016.

The homeless and orphaned newsboys of New York merely delivered the papers until they took a stand and made the headlines. Inspired by the 1899 Newsboys Strike, a true historical event that rocked New York at the turn of the century, Newsies is the tale of Jack and his fellow newspaper delivery boys who dared to defy and stand strong against the city’s powerful publishers. Newsies features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman, and book by Harvey Fierstein.

Don’t miss this hit and high kicking new Disney musical as Newsies takes over the Procter & Gamble Hall stage from Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30 PM, every Friday at 8 PM, every Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM, and every Sunday at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. With a 15-minute intermission, Newsies plays for 2 hours and 20 minutes.
