Newsies Boston | Boston Opera House

Newsies Boston | Boston Opera House

The newspaper delivery boys of New York are dancing their way to Boston! Newsies, Tony winner for Best Choreography and Best Score, is set to be part of The Lexus Broadway in Boston’s exciting 2014/2015 season. Opening on June 23, 2015, Newsies conquers the Boston Opera House until July 5, 2015.

After captivating the theatergoers on the Great White Way, Newsies is now on its much-awaited National Tour and will reach Boston next summer. The smash hit stage adaptation of Disney’s popular film of the same name, Newsies tells an inspiring story set against the real-life newsboy strike in New York in 1899. In Newsies, a ragtag group of newspaper delivery boys decides to fight for their rights and to stand up to the newspaper giants of New York City. With music by Alan Menken and brimming with heart-pounding numbers, Newsies is one high energy and electrifying song-and-dance explosion that Boston wouldn’t want to miss!

Don’t miss the newsboys from New York sing and dance on Boston Opera stage as Newsies plays in Boston from Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30 PM, on Fridays at 8 PM, on Saturdays at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on Sundays at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. The performance time of Newsies is 2 hours and 20 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.
