After its successful run on the Great White Way, this hit jukebox musical is now taking the country by storm on its national tour. Opening on December 26, 2017, Motown The Musical will be at the San Diego Civic Theatre for eight performances only until December 31.
Based on the 1994 autobiography of Berry Gordy, a featherweight boxer who became the music mogul that launched the stellar careers of Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, and countless others, Motown The Musical not only tells the story of one man but also celebrates the music that broke down racial barriers and that forever changed America. This record-breaking production features more than 50 unforgettable hits that the world loved.
