Adorable little Matilda is spending the holidays in Washington DC! Matilda The Musical, the blockbuster and internationally acclaimed show based on the well loved children’s story by Roald Dahl, is part of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ 2015-2016 theater season. Opening on December 15, 2015, Matilda The Musical has a four-week engagement at the Kennedy Center’s Opera House until January 19, 2016.

From a very young age, Matilda Wormwood has been exhibiting extraordinary intelligence but remains unappreciated and ignored by her family. When she enrolls in the school run by its mean and terrible headmistress Miss Trunchbull, Matilda’s sharp mind and incredible talents blossom with the help of her kind and beloved teacher Miss Honey. Hailed as its #1 Show of the Year by Time Magazine and with 50 international awards under its belt,Matilda The Musical has been enchanting its audiences on West End and the Great White Way.

Don’t miss the spirited performances of Matilda The Musical at the Opera House nightly at 7:00 PM from Tuesdays through Sundays with regular matinee shows at 1:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. There are also a special performance scheduled on January 6 (Wednesday) at 1:00 PM. Matilda The Musical plays for 2 hours and 40 minutes with one intermission.
