Lion King Louisville | Kentucky Center

You won’t believe your eyes when The Lion King takes of the Kentucky Center in Louisville for a truly magical night of pulsating African rhythms coming in March 2015.

Julie Taymor made Broadway history as the first woman director to win a Tony Award for her work on The Lion King. The Disney Theatrical production continues to push the boundaries of stagecraft magic through astounding puppetry, creative shadowplay, and of course, the unforgettable songs of Elton John and Tim Rice which were originally from the animated movie, and expanded by Lebo M for the stage adaptation.

Take the whole family to see The Lion King at Louisville’s Kentucky Center on March 3 through 29, 2015. The curtains rise at 7:30pm on Tuesdays through Thursdays, at 8:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 6:30pm on Sundays. Afternoon shows start at 2:00pm on Saturdays and at 1:00pm on Sundays. Lion King runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.
