Tampa, enter the glitzy world of Kinky Boots! The smash hit and Tony winning musical for Best Score, Best Choreography, and Best Musical in 2013, Kinky Boots joins the stellar 2015-2016 Broadway Series at The Straz Center. Opening on December 1, 2015, Kinky Boots takes over the Carol Morsani Hall stage until December 6, 2015.

Kinky Boots, the high-heeled and huge-hearted hit from the Great White Way, is the joyous and inspiring musical celebration of the friendships we find and of the belief that we can change the world when we open our minds. Inspired by real life events, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price as he takes the helm of the family’s shoe business after his father’s death. As he struggles to live up to expectations and to turn the family’s gentleman’s shoe factory around, unlikely help arrives in the form of Lola, a fabulous drag performer who needs new sturdy stilettos. With book by Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots features score by Cyndi Lauper and choreography and direction by Jerry Mitchell.

Join Charlie and Lola as Kinky Boots plays the Straz Center’s Carol Morsani Hall at 7:30 PM on December 1 to 3 (Tuesday to Thursday), at 8 PM on December 4 (Friday), at 2 PM and 8 PM on December 5 (Saturday), and at 2 PM and 7:30 PM on December 6 (Sunday). The December 3 performance will be a Sign Language Interpreted show. Kinky Boots runs for 2 hours and 20 minutes.
