A flashy parade of drag queens is on its way to Durham! Kinky Boots, winner in 6 categories of the prestigious Tony Awards, graces the Durham Performing Arts Center as part of the exciting 2014-2015 season of SunTrust Broadway. Opening on March 10, 2015, Kinky Boots has a week-long engagement in Durham until March 15, 2015.

Kinky Boots, the 2013 Tony winner for Best Musical, is based on the hit 2005 film that was inspired by a true story. Upon his father’s demise, Charlie inherited their family’s struggling shoe business that is already on the verge of bankruptcy. While trying to save the shoe factory, he meets a flashy drag entertainer who inspires him to make sturdy stilettos for drag artists. Kinky Boots features a richly diverse and brilliant musical score by Cyndi Lauper, in her award-winning theatrical debut.

Don’t miss the fabulously hilarious Kinky Boots performances at the Durham Performing Arts Center on March 10 to 12 (Tuesday to Thursday) at 7:30 PM, on March 13 (Friday) at 8 PM, on March 14 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on March 15 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. The running time of Kinky Boots is 140 minutes with one intermission.
