Hair Baltimore | Lyric Opera House

Hair Baltimore | Lyric Opera House

The electrifying touring production of Hair: The American Tribal Love – Rock Musical has a limited three-performance engagement at Baltimore’s Patricia & Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric on March 8 and 9, 2013.

Hair tells the story of a group of young, long-haired hippies living the Bohemian lifestyle in New York City during the tumultuous 1960s, one of the most defining eras in American history. These young hippies are active in denouncing and fighting the draft for the Vietnam War and rebelling against the dominant conservatism in society. With profound and resonating themes, Hair is one of the most controversial musicals in Broadway. Considered as the groundbreaking musical to define the rock musical genre, Hair also is the first to have a multi-cultural cast.

The show times for Hair in Baltimore are at 8 PM on March 8 and 9, with a special matinee performance at 2 PM on March 9.
