“Politics, Power, and the Perons” — Evita is coming to Austin for a whirlwind week of performances at the Bass Concert Hall in December 2014.

The life story of the Mother of Argentina is dramatized in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s critically acclaimed musical, Evita. From her beginnings as a young, struggling performer, to her meteoric rise to become the First Lady of the country, Evita Peron’s story continues to ignite passion for what she stood for. Both hailed and criticized, Evita is a Broadway standard that is not to be missed.

Celebrate the life of Evita at the Bass Concert Hall in Austin from December 9 through 14, 2014. A new Argentina rises at 7:30pm on Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 7:00pm on Sunday. Afternoon matinees begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, and 1:00pm on Sunday. The show runs for 2 hours and 15 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.
