Cabaret Charlotte | Belk Theater

Cabaret Charlotte | Belk Theater

Experience Berlin nightlife in all its decadence and glory! Cabaret, the Tony Award winning Broadway production from Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of a well-loved theater classic, returns to Charlotte for the PNC Broadway Lights’ stellar 2015-2016 season! Opening on November 8, 2016, Cabaret takes over the Belk Theater of the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center until November 13, 2016.

It’s the late 1930s and the raucous shows at the infamous Kit Kat Klub are in full swing! Set during the years of the Nazi Party’s rise and before the outbreak of the Second World War, Cabaret tells the story of a young American writer in Berlin and his relationship with a beautiful Englishwoman who stars at the Kit Kat Klub. But as war looms and anti-Semitism escalates, can the Berlin nightlife’s decadent allure be enough to take them through the dangerous times?

Leave all the world’s troubles outside because life is always beautiful at the cabaret! Don’t miss Cabaret as it plays the Belk Theater on November 8 to 10 (Tuesday to Thursday) at 7:30 PM, on November 11 (Friday) at 8 PM, on November 12 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on November 13 (Sunday) at 1:30 PM and 7 PM. With an intermission, Cabaret runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
