The 2015/2016 season of Broadway in Indianapolis ends with a big bang! Capping its stellar season is the widely anticipated Indianapolis premiere of the highly acclaimed Book of Mormon – the big winner of the 2012 Tony Awards! The Book of Mormon will run at the Old National Centre’s Murat Theatre from April 12 to 17, 2016.
The brainchild of the award-winning creators of South Park and Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon is the phenomenal satirical show that took home Tony’s Best Musical and 8 other awards at the 2012 ceremonies. It is the outrageously hilarious tale of two LDS missionaries on an evangelical mission to Uganda. As they try to surmount the dangers, difficulties, and cultural barriers between them and the villagers, their faith and commitment are severely tested.
