A celebration of life, passion and dreams, this the Tony Award and Olivier Award winning tale of one boy’s dream and his persevering attitude to achieve it amidst all adversities, this is ‘Billy Elliot, the Musical’.

Set in the early 1980s in Northern England during the historical coalminers’ strike, ‘Billy Elliot’ is the story of the title character and how he struggled to chase and achieve his dream to be a ballet dancer, a dream that was forged while stumbling upon a ballet class on his way home from the boxing ring, a dream that wasn’t taken lightly and wasn’t well-received by his family and community, who were all stricken with economic and livelihood strife. This musical not only boasts of an inspiring tale set to awaken the dreamer and the passionate in all of us, but also of a high-caliber creative time led by singer/songwriter Elton John, sitting in as the show’s composer and lyricist, playwright Lee Hall, choreographer Peter Darling and Academy Award nominated director Stephen Daldry, all of whom were acclaimed by the Tony Awards and other distinguished theatre award giving bodies.
