The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, “Billy Elliot”, will dance its way to Atlanta, GA in spring 2012 as part of it US tour. It will be staged at the Fox Theatre from March 14 to 20, 2012.

Hailed by Time magazine as “the best musical of the decade”, “Billy Elliot”, written by acclaimed playwright and lyricist Lee Hall with music composed by Sir Elton John, is the triumphant and joyous journey of a boy as he chases his dream of becoming a ballet dancer, despite his family’s disapproval and discouragement, and amidst the coal miners’ strike that has hampered the normalcy in Billy, his family and their community’s lives.

Giuseppe Bausilio, Kylend Hetherington, Lex Ishimoto and Daniel Russell will all be alternating as the title character all throughout the musical’s ongoing tour. Tickets to “Billy Elliot” in Atlanta will be available soon so check back again for new updates.
