Beauty and the Beast Seattle | Paramount Theatre

Beauty and the Beast Seattle | Paramount Theatre

If you’re in Seattle and gearing up for a holiday treat for your family then head on to the Paramount Theatre from December 11 to 13, 2015. Prepare to fall in love with the highly acclaimed and blockbuster Disney musical that also won the hearts of theatre critics and patrons alike, Beauty and the Beast.

Indeed it is a tale as old as time, a tale about a small town girl named Belle and an arrogant prince trapped in a curse that turned him into a hideous beast, as well as the rest of his household staff, thanks to an enchantress who experienced the prince’s arrogance first hand. Unless he learns how to be humble, love someone wholeheartedly and be loved in return, he will continue to live this cursed life till the end of his days. Time is of the essence as he has to keep his end of the bargain before the last petal on the rose that the enchantress left him withers. He also has to revert back to his old self before the town’s people, who are after his beastly head, get through his castle walls.

Fall in love with this enchanting love story that reminds us that true love is more than skin deep. Be entertained with its huge ensemble of characters that is the very definition of theatricality – from a talking candelabra, to a soft-spoken yet wise teapot, a gigantic wall of a closet, a serious butler turned to a clock, and so much more. Beauty and the Beast is a grand and lavish production, complete with energetic and well-choreographed musical numbers and unforgettable anthems including the chart topping title track, that promises to relive and recapture the enchanting fantasy it animatedly delivered almost twenty years ago on the silver screen onstage – live, in living form and in vivid color. The performance running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes with 1 intermission.
