Annie Washington DC | The National Theatre

Annie Washington DC | The National Theatre

Leapin Lizards! The best loved musical in the world is coming to Washington DC for Broadway at The National’s blockbuster 2015/16 season. Annie, the exciting incarnation of its iconic original, has a seven-performance engagement at The National Theatre. Opening on March 15, 2016, Annie is all set to delight its Washington DC audience until March 20, 2016.

A warm-hearted musical, Annie is the unforgettable tale of a little girl from an orphanage who never lost hope that she will find the home and family her heart yearns for. Growing up in the orphanage run by the horrible Miss Hannigan, Annie leads a hard-knock life. Her luck soon changes when she meets billionaire Oliver Warbucks whom she teaches the meaning of life, love, and the importance of always looking at the bright side. Inspired by the characters in Little Orphan Annie, Harold Gray’s popular comic strip series, Annie features its Tony Awards winning original score and book by Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin, and Thomas Meehan. With choreography by Liza Gennaro, Annie is directed by its original director Martin Charnin.

Don’t miss the delightful Annie shows at The National Theatre at 7:30 PM on March 15 to 17 (Tuesday to Thursday), at 8 PM on March 18 (Friday), at 2 PM and 8 PM on March 19 (Saturday), and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on March 20 (Sunday). Annie plays for 2 hours and 15 minutes including an intermission.
